Weakness

I have learned many lessons over the years and I wanted to focus on the subject of weakness today. I know it's always easier said than done but I wanted to share as I've learned: whatever the reason, do not continue to carry on even the smallest unhappy aspects of self as it makes one big unhappy life.

Life is not perfect and everyone has disadvantages. Whether it is the environment you are in, a person who keeps you down, or an insecurity within yourself, these weaknesses can only continue to be if you allow it. It is only you who can care enough and be determined enough to overcome your weaknesses, build on it, and conquer it. Weakness is an opportunity for strength and no one knows your weaknesses better than yourself. Rather than hide it or resent it, embrace it and do not let your weaknesses define you. Weakness is only weakness when you disregard it. Do not be ignorant or neglectful as your weaknesses deserve much more attention than your strengths.

Your weakness is what you make of it: you can leave it as weakness either blindly or intentionally OR you can transform it into strength.

My 2 biggest weaknesses were procrastination and making things more complicated than it needed to be. Here are some realizations I've come across:

Procrastination is often weakness in friendly disguise

Things don't always have to be so complicated. Why make it harder than it needs to be? The detriment of this complex world of ours is that it makes simplicity itself an art to be mastered.

another dream interpretation

Dreaming of Being Late

To dream that you are late, denotes your fear of change and your ambivalence about seizing an opportunity. You may feel unready, unworthy, or unsupported in your current circumstances. Additionally, you may be overwhelmed or conflicted with decisions about your future. You feel time is running out and that you do not have time to accomplish all the things you want.

"Faaaaabulous!!!"

We are all guilty of overusing certain words and phrases. The reason the word "fabulous" irks me so much is that it has a hidden commercial agenda of being of glamorous and trendy lifestyle. The most common implication is one being "fabulous" due to having the word "fabulous" used or having something that is suggested "fabulous" in retail.

A great example is the increased preference of cosmopolitans as it is Carry Bradshaw's "fabulous signature drink" from Sex and the City.

I personally love the word "fabulous". Having said that I think that I also appreciate the word and love it when used appropriately. Not EVERYTHING is "fabulous". Let's not make "fabulous" go down hill like "awesome".

When you hear it every other sentence from every other person it gets really old really fast. Especially when it's over emphasized: "FAaaaaaBULOUS!!!" Not only can it be annoying the meaning of the word gets lost in the constant repetition.

Love it. Don't over do it!

Dream Interpretations

I've been having some interesting dreams lately and wanted to share some dream interpretations by dreammoods.com

Sad Mood

To dream that you are sad, signifies a positive turn of events. It is generally a good dream foretelling good things are about to happen in your near future.

Death

To dream about the death of a loved one, suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what do you like about him. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, it indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life.

To dream of your own death, indicates a transitional phase in your life. You are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Alternatively, you are trying desperately to escape the demands of your daily life.

Widow

To dream that you are a widow, represents loneliness, neglect, or sadness. You may be feeling isolated and/or abandoned. Alternatively, it could mean your ability to be free and independent.

House

To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system. If you live with others in your walking life, but dream that you are living alone, suggests that you need to take new steps toward independence. You need to accept responsibilities and be more self-reliant. If you are locked out of the house, then it represents rejection and insecurity. You feel you are being left behind.

To dream that you are cleaning your house, signifies your need to clear out your thoughts and getting rid of old ways. You are seeking self-improvement.

To dream that your house is broken into, suggests that you are feeling violated. It may refer to a particular relationship or current situation in your life. Alternatively, it indicates that some unconscious material is attempting to make itself known. There are some aspects of yourself that you have denied. To dream that a house has disappeared, indicates that you are not feeling grounded. You feel uprooted by a particular circumstance or relationship in your life.

To see an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking. To dream that your house is damaged, indicates your waking concerns about the condition of your house.

Haunted House

To dream of a haunted house, signifies unfinished emotional business, related to your childhood family, dead relatives, or repressed memories and feelings.

I'd have to say I know it's speculative but it's interesting and pretty accurate!

A Happy Life...

A happy life consists not in the absence, but in the mastery of hardships.

Helen Keller

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Herman Cain

The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.

Web Site

I am happy to announce that I have secured my own name as my website. I will be working on making it presentable and will share my art and design work on that site. It may take a bit as I'm not exactly a code/web expert to say the least but I'm really excited! Hopefully I can think of a name for my business and I can secure that as my business website too... Stay tuned!

Favorite Quote

This has been my favorite quote since 9th grade (over the last 10 years). This quote got me through my rock bottoms and other times helped me keep better perspective. I wanted to share it because feel like anyone could relate to it and may spread hope and inspiration.

Attitude

By Charles Swindoll

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that certain people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.”

Intro
