Healing

"Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future."-- Lewis B. Smedes

“When I stand before thee at the day's end, thou shalt see my scars and know that I had my wounds and also my healing.” --Rabindranath Tagore

'Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you - all of the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are."-- Rachel Naomi Remen

“We are all broken and wounded in this world. Some choose to grow strong at the broken places.” --Harold J. Duarte-Bernhardt

"A pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl." --Stephan Hoeller
